A guided walk on the Lambeth side of the Thames to hear the history of crossing points remaining and vanished.
Seven bridges cross the Thames from the borough of Lambeth (counting Hungerford and the Golden Jubilee bridges as three) but more than that have been replaced or vanished altogether. Let’s walk along the Lambeth side of the river to hear of the bridges, and the ferries, and the tunnels – the ones you’re allowed to know about at least.
For the avoidance of doubt, we will not be crossing the river!
