About the event

May 17th 2025 sees the final of the 69th Eurovision Song Contest, held in Basel, Switzerland.


65 years ago, in 1960, the Contest took place on the South Bank. What better time to join Lambeth Tour Guides Association member David Turnbull for this fun pop music-themed walking tour that spotlights songs connected to Waterloo, the South Bank and Lambeth's jukebox of pop, punk, reggae and calypso, from Lord Kitchener and The Kinks to Jools Holland, The Sex Pistols and, of course, ABBA.


Following the popular series LTGA South Bank Walks in 2024, discover the places along the riverside and beyond that have inspired musicians across the decades and gaze back into Eurovision history.
