David Turnbull
David is a former chef who once worked in the kitchens of Waterloo's Union Jack Club. He lived in the staff accommodation on the 24th floor which allowed him, in the words of a famous song, to gaze on Waterloo sunset each evening.
He was, for many years, an official for Unite the Union, responsible for the rights of migrant and low paid hospitality workers including those in many of the hotels and restaurants in Lambeth.
He is also a published author in speculative fiction and a founding member of Clockhouse London Writers.
His walks explore the fantastical side of Lambeth and it's links to authors, novels, movies and classic TV shows in the scifi, horror and fantasy genres. Boldly go with him if you want to seek out undiscovered new worlds.
