Congratulations to our newest qualified Lambeth Tour Guides!
Lambeth Tour Guide Association held their Graduation Ceremony at Lambeth Town Hall in Brixton on Thursday 11th July.
Certificates and badges were presented by the Mayor of Lambeth, John Paul Ennis, with the Chair of Lambeth Tour Guide Association, Peter Brown.
The Become a Lambeth Tour Guide course is taught at Morley College Waterloo Centre and covers a wide curriculum from Architecture and Art to Wilberforce and Windrush, with a geographic area from Archbishop’s Park in the North to Westow Hill in the south.
Course Director Sarah-Jane Miller said "We are delighted to welcome our latest students to the Lambeth Tour Guides Association. We are so proud that some are already leading guided walks and tours in the borough of Lambeth and beyond! We congratulate this year's students on their hard work learning and presenting tours around Brixton, Vauxhall, Kennington, Herne Hill and Streatham."
"With such a high standard of work it is no surprise that so many of this year's students have already secured employment as tour guides for local organisations and in the historic and heritage sector. We look forward to going on guided walks with the new tour guides as part of London Local Guiding Day Saturday 5th October and the Lambeth Local History Fair on Saturday 7th September at St Leonard's Church, Streatham.
If you think that you have what it takes to Become a Lambeth Tour Guide, you too can study this course at Morley College Waterloo Campus.
