For International Women's Day this year Lambeth Tour Guides invite you to celebrate female flair, finesse and fame with specially curated Walks by Accredited members of Lambeth Guides Association on and around Saturday 8th March.
This collection follows last year's tours on the Women of Brixton, South Bank and North Lambeth and 'Inspirational Women of Lambeth' - LTGA's book published in 2023.

For Spring 2025 make the acquaintance of Emma & Lilian: Waterloo's Inspirational Women, trail-blazers in the world of performance, housing and education, best known for their association with the Old Vic and Morley College (and indirectly the National Theatre, English National Opera and Sadlers Wells Theatre). GUIDE : Waterloo denizen Nikky Catto shines the spotlight on these leading ladies. 1.5 hours

On Saturday 8th March Inspirational Women of Clapham is a morning walk of contrasts from Victorian hymn writers to the buzz of high fashion; from ladies who could inspire the best medicine in the Music Hall to more conventional prescriptions at The Pavement, along with South London magical realism, really hot art plus the movers and shakers of the 21st century.

SATURDAY 8TH MARCH Morning Walk 11am
For the afternoon of International Women's Day, the Pioneering Women of Vauxhall shows mould-breaking early feminists, performers of Vauxhall Gardens, women running independent businesses long before the female vote, and the brilliant talent of the 200-strong women pottery design workforce at Doulton's ceramic works.
GUIDE : Victorian Women's History specialist Dr Jane Jordan gives a snapshot of wives, daughters and mothers across the ages, all connected by Riverside Vauxhall. 2 hours
SATURDAY 8TH MARCH Afternoon Walk 2.30pm
Women of West Norwood serves up a Sunday lunchtime treat with a mixed menu of watercress, mountain climbing, code breaking and the girl who sang about 'Hometown Glory' in response to the notion of moving away from West Norwood.
GUIDES : West Norwood Cemetery Trustee and Victorian specialist Dr Jane Jordan & Lambeth Guide Nikky Catto lead the way to the West Norwood Women. 2 hours
