Tour guides are like magpies, picking up the shiny treasures they find in their territory, and there are so many to unearth in Lambeth and the surrounding areas. I first started exploring the borough in earnest when I took early retirement a few years ago, and it continues to surprise and delight me with new discoveries.

I firmly believe it’s people that make places, and I love the stories of the great and the commonplace, the good and the bad who have made Lambeth what it is today. For me a good walk consists of a serving of ‘I never knew that’ moments, enjoyed in convivial company with a sprinkling of humour, and that’s what I’d like to share with you.
