
Selina Rice
Selina has a degree in History and is fascinated by our towns, cities, societies and how places and communities develop and change over time. Understanding and reflecting how the small scale and bigger picture events shape and inform how are urban and green spaces look, have come about and how they reflect our society, its values and the needs of our communities. Her love of history, particularly the Tudor period , Victorian period and 20th century London informs her consideration of our buildings, cityscape and the people who have and still live there.
She teaches for the W.E.A delivering a course on research your house and has developed walking tours in Lambeth and Bromley. As a qualified graduate of the Lambeth Tour Guide Association, she now works with them in the growth of tours for the borough and in the tour guiding community in London. She is passionate about the outdoors, swimming, cycling, sport and local history. She is an active member of the Norwood Society in South London and is involved in the street histories research group.
